Senior Accountant Established Multi-Entity Investment & Operating Company
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 base
Work Model: Onsite during onboarding, then Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote)

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial statement packages for a portfolio of 40-50 entities

  • Lead full-cycle close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and related cash activity

  • Maintain fixed assets and depreciation/amortization schedules

  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers across AP, AR, and project/job cost accounting

  • Prepare reporting packages, schedules, and workpapers for lenders, investors, auditors, and tax partners

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including accrual-based budget preparation

  • Serve as a technical resource for accounting systems; assist with setup, troubleshooting, and improvements

  • Partner cross-functionally to onboard new entities/projects and ensure proper accounting treatment

  • Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability

  • Collaborate closely with the Controller and accounting leadership on reporting, controls, and compliance

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA-track preferred

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle close ownership

  • Experience supporting multi-entity, portfolio, or high-volume entity structures

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions

  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments

  • Industry experience in project-based or portfolio accounting environments is helpful but not required

Reporting Structure:
This role reports to the Controller and works alongside a team of Staff and Senior Accountants and Accounting Specialists in a collaborative accounting environment.
