Job Description:


Sales Engineer to support MSP practice serving SMBs.




  • Location: Southwest Orlando (Hybrid Schedule)

  • Base Salary: $90,000 $115,000 (commensurate with experience)

Play a key role in the pre-sales process – partnering with Account Executives and Service Delivery teams to assess client needs, design tailored IT solutions, and ensure seamless onboarding.




Core Responsibilities




  • Pre-Sales Support: Provide technical expertise during the sales cycle, ensuring client needs are fully understood and met with the right solutions.




  • Client Discovery: Conduct discovery sessions (onsite, video, or phone) to assess customer environments, identify needs, and scope opportunities.




  • Solution Design: Research, scope, and deliver customized IT and cloud solutions. (Account Executives handle pricing and negotiation.)




  • Network Assessments: Gather requirements, process data, and analyze infrastructure to identify weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and optimization opportunities.




  • Project Scoping: Collaborate with engineering to define project requirements and ensure accurate delivery expectations.




  • Renewal Engagements: Participate in renewal discussions and ensure customers remain satisfied with ongoing services.




  • Handoff & Documentation: Ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to onboarding with complete and accurate documentation.

Skills & Experience




  • Proven ability to engage external customers, research technical solutions, and communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.




  • MSP experience strongly preferred familiarity with supporting multiple clients across varied environments.




  • Hands-on technical background (L1L3 support experience) understanding of customer pain points, workflows, and IT integration into business operations.




  • Experience migrating on-prem environments to cloud (Azure / O365).




  • Solid networking knowledge: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, etc.




  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), O365, licensing, and Azure.




  • Exposure to ConnectWise (RMM, PSA, CPQ).




  • Active Directory management, Server upgrades and virtualization (VMware), Microsoft Exchange support




  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices EDR, MFA, security audits, etc.




  • Demonstrated stability and success in prior roles.
